Boy, 14, critical after being hit by car in Sandwich

A 14-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being hit by a car.

The pedestrian was struck by a blue Fiat Punto in a village near Sandwich.

He was airlifted to a London hospital with injuries believed to be serious.

Kent Police said the boy remains in a critical condition.

Officers were called to Jubilee Road, near the junction with The Street, in Worth, at 4.25pm yesterday.

The road was closed until around 8.30pm.

Officers are particularly keen to speak to passengers on a bus who may have witnessed the incident.
