Car crash victim loses fight for life

A 68-year-old man involved in a car crash has lost his fight for life after 10 days in hospital.

Mohammed Chowdhury, of Hurst Road, Sidcup, suffered serious injuries in the accident in Station Road, Sidcup.

The pensioner had been a passenger in a Rover, travelling north up Station Road shortly after 10pm on Saturday, October 8, when the accident occurred.

The Rover and a BMW, travelling south bound towards Sidcup High Street, collided near the Sandhurst Road junction.

Mr Chowdhury was taken to Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup, where he died on Tuesday.

Sgt Russell Fenwick, who is investigating the accident, is appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the accident to come forward.
