Coma girl improving after road crash

A SCHOOLGIRL is "stable and comfortable" and starting to wake up after spending days in a coma.

Anna Hunter, 11, was in collision with a car in Station Approach, Hayes, as she walked home from school on Thursday, October 11.

She was rushed to hospital by air ambulance where she underwent surgery on her injuries which included two broken legs and trauma to the head.

The Hayes School pupil was placed into a medically induced coma by doctors and put on ventilation at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

However her condition was said to have improved this morning and doctors now say she is beginning to come round.
