A section of the carriageway, near Junction 2 for the A20 London Road, was shut to allow emergency services to deal with the incident but by 2.18pm all lanes had been re-opened.

Motorists are still being warned of slow-moving traffic as congestion returns to normal.

A spokeswoman from the force said: “Kent Police was called shortly after 1.30pm to a single vehicle collision on the M20, near Junction 2.

“Officers attended alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service where one person reported minor injuries.”

Emergency services have been asked for more details.
