Accidents on the A20 at West Kingsdown, the A2 at Whitfield near Dover and the A2 at Bean near Dartford

There has been several closures on Kent's roads this morning.

The A20 near Brands Hatch in West Kingsdown near Sevenoaks has been closed overnight following a serious crash.

According to traffic reports it involved three vehicles.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 10.48pm on Saturday, February11 2023 to a report of a collision involving three vehicles near Brands Hatch Road, Fawkham. Officers attended along with other emergency services and several people were reported to have received injuries and have been taken to a London hospital."

The A20 at Gorse Hill was shut in both directions from A225 Eynsford Road to Donkey Lane, affecting traffic between West Kingsdown and the M25 and M20 at Swanley Interchange.

The road remained closed all morning for accident investigation work. It re-opened just before noon.

Part of the A2 at Bean near Dartford and Bluewater was closed due to emergency barrier repairs. An accident was reported there just before 1am. One lane has been closed on the London-bound carriageway by the junction with the B255 Bean Lane (Bean Interchange).

The A2 has also been closed in Whitfield near Dover.

There was an accident at the A256 Whitfield Hill (Whitfield roundabout) and the east side of the roundabout was closed. Traffic was unable to go round the roundabout to head on to the A256 Southbound towards Kearnsey.

It was reported at 7.10am that the carriageway was had been re-opened.
