Cyclist killed in road tragedy is named

A CYCLIST killed in a collision with a car in Dane Valley Road, Margate, on Wednesday night has been named as 57-year-old Frederick Parsons, of Approach Road, Cliftonville.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the tragedy and are being questioned by Thanet Police.

It is believed that following the collision the car involved, a white Metro, continued its journey to the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate.

Police are keen to trace any witnesses to the crash or anyone who may have seen the vehicle (which would have had clear damage) after the incident occurred.
