Driver dies after losing control on a bend

A woman's died after losing control of her car on a bend on the A21 between Pembury and Tonbridge.

It happened just before 9.40 last night as she was driving towards Tonbridge.

The green VW Polo left the carriageway at Castle Hill, hit several trees and came to rest back on the road. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved.

The female driver was taken to Pembury hospital where she was subsequently pronounced dead.

A passenger was also taken to the same hospital after suffering serious, although not life threatening, injuries.

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for anyone with information about the collision to contact them on 01622 798538.
