Four quizzed over bookies raid

Four young men were chased and arrested by police shortly after a robbery at a Kent bookmakers.

The raid happened at around 9.40am on Thursday at Coral in Newington Road, Ramsgate.

Staff and customers were told to lie on the ground and the robbers escaped with around £500 in cash.

Police followed a blue Fiat Stilo suspected of being involved in the robbery and pursued the four men through gardens and marshland after they ran from the vehicle after stopping in Collards Close, Monkton.

Property and money was recovered.

Those arrested were two men aged 20 and two aged 18. They are all from the London area.
