Full marks for teacher's send-off

Most teachers get a carriage clock when they leave a school.

Not Sally-Ann Gee: in fact her send-off went global!

The 46-year-old was shocked when colleagues showed her their leaving card - on YouTube.

They made a video singing her favourite song Find the Feeling by Feeder, with some teachers dressed in whacky gear.

They even played it during her final assembly at Blean Primary School.

Ms Gee, of Whitstable Road, Canterbury worked in the school’s ICT department for five years and is leaving to take up a new role with Kent County Council in Swale.

It took her colleague Andy Newport nine hours to edit the video taken on the school’s video camera.

Ms Gee said: “None of the children or myself knew about the video when it was played out in assembly.

“To be honest I am amazed they were able to keep it from me.

“They kept sending me off to watch children’s football matches and to run errands so they could get the video done.

“All the children were laughing and crying and it made me so emotional.

“All the time and effort the staff put in has really touched me and I am gutted to be leaving such a wonderful group of people.”
