Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler lines up trip to Ryman League Faversham Town

The Gills hit eight past Faversham in 2008

Gillingham will conclude their pre-season itinerary with a trip to Faversham’s Salters Lane.

It will be the Gills’ eleventh fixture of the pre-season and comes just four days before the start of their League 2 season, with the game scheduled for Tuesday, August 3.

The Gills have travelled to Faversham in the previous two summers.

In 2008 Simeon Jackson scored a second half hat-trick as the Gills won the match 8-0 and last year they scored five without reply against Justin Luchford’s side.

Andy Hessenthaler’s side begin their pre-season programme with a match at Braintree on Friday night before heading to Bromley on Saturday.

Gillingham have yet to confirm the date.
