Dennis Oli will probably see out the remainder of his contract at Gillingham, according to manager Andy Hessenthaler.

The forward has recently been re-introduced into the team just weeks after being put on the transfer list.

Hessenthaler admits he would now be reluctant to see the 28-year-old leave before the end of the season. The loan transfer window shuts on Thursday.

"He will be involved at the weekend," said the Gills boss.

"I can’t see anything happening before March 22, but would I want that to happen now with the injuries we have? Probably not.

"He is another option for us. I think we will see Dennis with us now until the end of the season and we will decide after that."

Oli (pictured) has played 138 games for the Gills and has scored 14 goals.

Before his recent outings, Hessenthaler told Oli he has no future at the club.

"We have been honest with him," said the Gills boss. "He has had a real tough time with a hamstring injury and it’s been stop-start for him but he has done great in the last two games.

"He is not doing himself any harm by being involved and if he hasn’t got a future here, then someone will have a look at him and he can have a future elsewhere."
