Gunman opens fire on house with young family inside

RESIDENTS have been left in shock after a gunman fired several shots at the front of a house.

The young family inside the semi-detached house were not injured when the attack happened, in Totnes Road, Welling, at about 11.55pm, on Friday.

Bullets struck the front door and porch while a 26-year-old man, his girlfriend and baby were at home.

One neighbour said: "We’re absolutely shocked at what’s happened. Everyone is on edge."

Detectives are looking for a suspect described as a black man in his 20s or 30s with cropped hair and a thin beard.

Witnesses reported seeing two men running towards Bideford Road around the time of the shooting.
