A heroin dealer has been jailed after a stash of the drug was found hidden in his bottom.

Michael Simpson was stopped by officers in Luton Road, Chatham, last July.

When the 42-year-old was searched, officers found the drug in his pants.

Simpson, of Chelmar Road, Chatham, was arrested and charged the same day with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.

He was found guilty after a trial at Maidstone Crown Court and jailed for three years.

PC Steve Horan, drugs liaison officer at Medway police station, said: "This three year sentence should serve as a warning to anyone selling drugs in our community.

"Kent Police will actively seek out those involved in the supply of drugs and bring them to justice."
