This is the moment missing girl Megan Stammers was seen on board a ferry from Dover with teacher Jeremy Forrest.

The CCTV image was taken at 9.30pm last Thursday, and shows the pair holding hands.

Schoolgirl Megan, 15, left her home in Eastbourne earlier that day and travelled to France with her maths teacher.

Megan was reported missing by her mum when she failed to turn up at school on Friday.

Her parents made an emotional plea for her return at press conference organised by Sussex Police yesterday.

Chief Inspector Jason Tingley said: "We are releasing this photo to show Megan and Jeremy's appearance at the time they travelled to France as we believe it will improve the public's ability to recognise the pair together.

"Although they entered France, it is possible that they are elsewhere now.

"Therefore our objectives are to identify where they are and for them to contact us, so we can bring Megan home safely.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Megan and Jeremy or who sees the black Ford Fiesta car they are believed to be travelling in, should call Sussex Police on 00441273 475432 or text +447786208090.
