A FATHER who was jailed for killing his young baby has been locked up again – this time for robbery and other offences.

Christopher Adams pulled a knife on a newsagent he knew and robbed him of a small amount of cash and cigarettes.

The 25-year-old, of St Benedict Road, Snodland, also stole a car and smashed it into another car, writing off both vehicles.

He was jailed for five years and four months at Maidstone Crown Court.

Adams was previously jailed for six years in July 2001 for the manslaughter of his six-week-old son Liam Gurr-Adams, after he admitted the offence on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

Maidstone Crown Court heard that Adams was aged 17 when in February 1999 he shook the child at his then home in Central Parade, Herne Bay, so hard that it caused brain damage.
