Knife-wielding robber caught on camera

DETECTIVES have issued CCTV footage of a man who threatened a store assistant with a knife and demanded money from the safe.

The robbery happened at at the Co-Op in Colney Road, Dartford, on Sunday, July 2, at about 7pm.

Police say the 24-year old female member of staff was forced to open the safe and the raider stole in excess of £2,000. He ran out of the shop towards Queen Street.

The robber is described as being of ethnic origin, aged about 40, of slim to medium build with short, dark greying hair. He was wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses.

Police have issued two CCTV images of the man in the hope that someone will recognise him.
