Man charged with killing brother

A 27-year-old man has appeared before a court accused of murdering his younger brother who died from stab wounds.

Louis Lumpkin, who lives in Artillery Road, Ramsgate, has been charged with killing Gary Lumpkin, 26, also of Artillery Road, in the early hours of Monday morning.

He appeared at Margate Magistrates' Court on Thursday and was remanded in custody to appear again at Maidstone Crown Court on March 6.

Gary Lumpkin was pronounced dead at an address in Northdown Road, Cliftonville, near Margate, at about 12.45am on Monday. Police had been called there about 30 minutes earlier.

A Kent Police spokeswoman said a post mortem had revealed Gary Lumpkin had suffered multiple stab wounds.
