DETECTIVES have launched an investigation after a man was discovered lying in an alleyway with serious head injuries.

It is believed he had earlier been involved in a fight which occurred outside Rainy’s nightclub in Ramsgate, at about 2am on Wednesday. He was was taken to the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital at Margate.

Police say two other men were reported to be hurt in the incident but were not taken to hospital.

King Street was closed between Broad street and Market Square while police carried out enquiries.
