The man found guilty of killing a teenager and burying her in the garden of a house in Margate has decided not to appeal his conviction.

Peter Tobin, 62, was jailed for life and ordered to spend at least 30 years in jail for Vicky Hamilton's murder.

In December he lodged his intention to appeal against his conviction but the appeal has not been made within the required time frame.

It was the stiffest sentence ever passed by the Scottish Courts and Tobin is still going ahead with an appeal against the length.
