A man was treated in hospital for hypothermia after falling from his jet ski off the Kent coast.

The man spent around 45 minutes in the water at All Hallows on the Isle of Grain yesterday afternoon before he was rescued by a lifeboat crew from Sheerness.

Thames Coastguard received the initial 999 call from the man's friend at around 3.20pm.

A spokesman for the RNLI said the man's brightly-coloured jet ski made it easier to find him in fading light.
