Man robbed of wallet and phone on footpath

A 28-year-old man walking along a footpath with a woman companion was assaulted and robbed by two men.

The victim was struck on the back of the neck and suffered back and facial injuries. He had his mobile phone, wallet containing £110, and a driving licence stolen.

Police are appealing for information about the robbery which took place between 10pm and 11pm on Monday, August 21, on a footpath in Forge Lane, Gillingham.

One of the suspects is described as being white, aged between 30 and 35, around 6ft tall and unshaven. He was wearing a red top and baseball cap. At present there is no description of the second male suspect.
