Motorcyclist killed in crash is named

KENT Police have revealed the identity of a motorcyclist who died after being involved in a collision with a car in Hawkhurst on Wednesday, October 10.

He was 38-year-old Colin Sheath, from Folly Hill, Cranbrook. An inquest has been opened and adjourned.

The tragedy happened at about 6.20pm on the A229 Cranbrook Road at the junction with Slip Mill Lane at Hawkhurst when Mr Sheath's blue Yamaha was in collision with a red Renault Clio.

The car driver was taken to hospital but the injuries were not believed to be serious.
