Maidstone has a new Borough Commander.

Ch Insp David Pascoe is returning to the for Maidstone police, after three years away from the role.

He replaces Supt Ian Hal,l who is taking a promotion at the tactical firearms unit at Coldharbour in Aylesford.

Mr Pascoe has 32 years experience in the police force and has lived in Maidstone for the past 20 years.

He said: “I’m delighted to be back at Maidstone. It’s been a case of being able to hit the ground running and as many of the key individuals and networks remain unchanged it has been good to renew these old partnerships to continue to make Maidstone a safer place to live, work and visit."

"My local knowledge gives an invaluable insight into the running of policing the County Town and I have a passionate belief in delivering a high quality policing service to the public. With a thriving night-time economy, Maidstone presents unique challenges and the police and partners will continue to work to ensure that it remains a pleasant and safe place to socialise."
