POLICE have named the man who died four days after being found unconscious in a pub carpark.

Graham Wales, 42, from Maidstone, died at Maidstone Hospital on Wednesday. He was found lying outside the Bird in Hand Pub in Stockett Lane Coxheath the previous Saturday evening.

Maidstone and Malling Police have yet to link his death with an alleged assault on the man. Five people were questioned following reports of a disturbance outside the pub shortly before the man was found.

A post mortem carried out on Thursday was inconclusive. More tests are now being carried out to try to determine his cause of death.
