Police investigate death of man after Sheerness incident

Police are investigating the death of a man - 12 days after an incident in a Sheerness pub.

Officers are looking into what happened in the Tudor pub (library picture, left) in the town late on Saturday, June 11 - shortly before the man was found unconscious near the clock tower.

The 24-year-old was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital in the early hours of June 12, before being transferred to a London hospital. He died yesterday.

Now police have launched an inquiry into his death. His family have been informed and a post mortem due to be carried out tomorrow.
