Police probe after man's body is found

DETECTIVES today launched an investigation after a man's body was discovered at an address in Coxheath, near Maidstone.

Forensic officers wearing white suits spent several hours at a cottage in Stockett Lane this afternoon.

Ambulance paramedics had taken the initial emergency call from a member of the dead man's family at about 10.55am.

A spokesman said: "We received a call to say there was an adult male collapsed. When we arrived it was clear he had been deceased for a number of days."

A Kent Police spokesman said officers were making inquiries into circumstances surrounding the man's death. He said: "It is uncertain as to whether or not there is anything suspicious. Investigations are continuing."
