Whitstable Town let an early lead slip to lose 2-1 at home to Godalming Town in their opening game of the Ryman League Division 1 South season.

Tom Parker's first minute cross was fumbled into the net to give the hosts the lead but the visitors were level by the sixth minute and were gifted the points by a poor backpass 15 minutes from time.

Faversham Town recorded a 2-2 draw at Whitehawk in their first game in the Ryman League,

Skipper Tom Hickman fired them ahead inside four minutes and despite ex-Dover man Jerahl Hughes levelling on 15 minutes, Dane Luchford restored the advantage before the break, only for the hosts to grab a point on the hour mark.

Sittingbourne also drew 2-2 at home to Dulwich Hamlet in their season-opener.

A sixth-minute penalty from Hicham Akhazzan was cancelled out by goals for the visitors either side of the break and it needed Tom Bradbrook's tap-in seven minutes from time to earn a point for the Brickies.

Joe Fuller scored the only goal shortly before the half-hour as Chatham Town beat Corinthian Casuals 1-0 at home in their first game (pictured).

Meanwhile Ramsgate lost 3-0 at Walton & Hersham and in Division 1 North Thamesmead Town lost 3-1 at Needham Market, their only goal coming from an own-goal.
