Faversham Town are up to sixth in Ryman League Division 1 South and lie just two points outside the play-off places after a 3-0 win over Eastbourne Town at the Shepherd Neame Stadium.

Dane Luchford (pictured) opened the scoring on 25 minutes and Justin Ascheri volleyed the second 15 minutes from time.

There was still time for skipper Tom Hickman to score the third when clean through on 83 minutes.

Ramsgate moved into the top 10 after snatching a 3-2 win at play-off chasing Walton Casuals.

Mark Lovell opened the scoring on 19 minutes and despite the hosts levelling, Paul Axon made it 2-1 to the Rams before the break.

Warren Schulz made it 3-1 on 52 minutes but the hosts reduced the deficit on the hour and after Ollie Gray was dismissed for a second booking, the hosts hit the woodwork as they sought a late equaliser.

Ten-man Sittingbourne went down 4-0 at promotion-chasing Whitehawk to slip to 11th.

The Brickies were 1-0 down at the break and fell further behind on the hour before Sam Collins was sent-off after an off-the-ball incident - though Bourne insisted it was a case of mistaken identity.

A penalty on 68 minutes compounded the visitors' misery and Hawk added a fourth eight minutes from time.

Chatham Town went down 2-0 at Leatherhead and are nine points off the drop-zone having played more games than all the sides below them.

The game was marred by a serious facial injury to Town's Anthony Hogg, who required around 20 stitches in hospital after taking a kick to the face.

Whitstable Town maintained their unbeaten run with a 1-1 draw at promotion-chasing Burgess Hill Town - their fourth draw in succession.

Town fell behind through an own-goal by new arrival Ashley Ulph early-on but Ian Pulman scored his 14th league goal of the season to earn them a point which left them two clear of the relegation zone.
