Chatham were forced to play winger Garry Tilley in goal as they went down 4-1 at home to Grays in Ryman League Division 1 North.

With both their normal keepers sick, Tilley pulled on the number one shirt, but was picking the ball out of the net after only four minutes when Junior Baker nodded the visitors in front.

Baker got his second after 34 minutes, before Jared Small and Joao Carlos made it 4-0 after the break. Liam Hinckey pulled one back for Chats after 83 minutes.

Tom Parkinson’s first goal for Ramsgate was enough to give them a 1-1 draw at home to Burgess Hill in Division 1 South.

Parkinson put the Rams in front soon after the hour-mark but Kai Bichard replied quickly to ensure Burgess Hill took a point.

Rams were reduced to 10-men after Ashley Miller, on loan from Gillingham, was sent off.

Cray and Harrow shared the points in a six-goal Premier Division thriller.

Harrow’s opening goal came from an unlikely source when their goalkeeper Elvijs Putnins scored with a long goal-kick. A curling shot from Saheed Sankoh double the Harrow lead before half-time.

Cray dominated the second half with Paul Vines pulling a goal back from close range before equalising after charging down a clearance.

Danny Phillips put the Wands in front after 75 minutes, but Harrow rallied and levelled through Simeon Akinola.
