Schoolgirl dies on adventure trip

A KENT school is in mourning after an eight-year-old girl collapsed and later died during an adventure weekend.

Charlotte Wright was one of a group of 64 youngsters from Halfway Houses Primary School on Sheppey on a trip to a centre in Surrey.

After she collapsed on Sunday, Charlotte was taken to the Royal Surrey Hospital in Guilford where she died without regaining consciousness.

Police in Surrey say the results of a post mortem had proved inconclusive and further tests would be carried out.
