A number of services, parades and ceremonies are taking place in Kent this Remembrance Sunday in honour of all those who have lost their lives in battle.

Across the county, thousands of people will pause to reflect on the sacrifices made by our brave service men and women.

Today's acts of remembrance follow yesterday's Youth Festival of Remembrance in the Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone, and the traditional two-minute silence, obeyed across the county on Friday.

Details of some of the county's Remembrance Sunday events are listed below:

Ashford: A ceremony to mark Remembrance Sunday will be held in the Memorial Gardens at 10.45am, before a parade to St Mary's Church.

Canterbury: A parade will leave the car park in Iron Bar Lane, behind Woolworths, at 10am and will march to the cathedral via Burgate. Wreaths will be laid at the war memorial in Buttermarket at 10.27am and a Service of Remembrance will be held at the cathedral at 10.50am.

Dartford: A procession from Dartford Borough Museum in Market Street to the war memorial is due to leave at 10.45am. Following a Service of Remembrance, members of uniformed organisations will parade through the town.

Faversham: A march from Queens Hall car park to the war memorial, where wreaths will be laid and a two minutes silence observed, is due to leave at 10.45am.

Maidstone: A parade of more than 700 people, including soldiers from 36 Engineer Regiment, will march through the town. The procession starts in Week Street at 10.30am and will lead to the cenotaph in The Broadway for a service and wreath-laying ceremony before returning to the town centre, where the Mayor of Maidstone, Cllr Brian Mortimer, will take the salute at 11.25am.

Medway: The Mayor of Medway, Cllr Ted Baker, will attend a parade to Rochester Cathedral that leaves the Guildhall Museum at 10.40am. After the parade, led by the Rochester Pipe Band, there will be a wreath-laying ceremony at Rochester war memorial. Ceremonies are also being held at The Great Lines war memorial, Gillingham; Black Lion war memorial, Gillingham; St Margaret's Church, Rainham; Victoria Gardens, Chatham; and Brompton war memorial, Gillingham.

Tenterden: The Royal British Legion will march from the war memorial in the High Street to the Recreation Ground at 10.30am. Sunday's service also marks the 90th anniversary of the Legion's local branch.

Thanet: A parade will leave Elms Avenue, Ramsgate, at 10.35am and is expected to arrive at St George's Church, where a Service of Rememberance will be held, at 10.50am.

Tonbridge: A short service and wreath-laying ceremony will be held in the Remembrance Gardens, Bradford Street, at 10.45am, followed by a parade to St Peter and St Paul for the town's Service of Remembrance at 11.45am.

Tunbridge Wells: A service will be held at the war memorial in Mount Pleasant Road at 10.45am, during which the Mayor and others, including local MP Greg Clark, will lay wreaths.

West Malling: A parade will begin with the Mayor of Tonbridge and Malling, Cllr Brian Luker, taking the salute in the High Street at 2pm followed by a march to St Mary's Church, where the Service of Remembrance will be held at 2.30pm. There will also be a wreath-laying ceremony at the war memorial.

Whitstable: A Remembrance Sunday service will take place at the war memorial in Oxford Street from 10.30am.
