DETECTIVES are seeking the public’s help to identify two women they would like to speak to in connection with a serious assault on two other women.

The two 29-year-old victims were walking home at about 1.55am on December 24 after leaving Rainey’s nightclub in Ramsgate.

Suddenly two women standing at the junction of Turner and Broad Street started shouting abuse at them. The two women then followed the victims until a struggle developed between them in King Street.

The victims were knocked to the ground and punched and kicked about the head and body.

Both victims suffered cuts around their faces, bruising, swelling, black eyes and had clumps of hair pulled out. After a couple of minutes the two attackers walked off in the direction of Harbour Street.

Detectives have released a CCTV image of two suspects they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

Anyone who knows the identity of the women or has any information about the incident is asked to contact DC Dave Whitehead at Margate Police Station on (01843) 222 142. (ref 13855)
