Violent muggers snatch mobile phone

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 36-year-old man was mugged.

The victim, from Whitstable, was meeting a friend near the Londis Stores and church hall in Faversham Road, Seasalter when he was punched in the face and had his mobile phone stolen by mystery assailants.

Three men are thought to have been involved and it is believed they may have left the scene in a dark coloured Rover Metro car.

The incident occurred just before 7pm on Friday, January 25.
