Woman punched and abused in racist attack

POLICE are appealing for information after a racist assault on a woman in a takeaway at Cliftonville, near Margate.

The assault happened in Northdown Road while the victim was inside the kebab shop with another woman. A man started verbally abusing her and making racist remarks.

When the victim told him he was being rude he punched her. At that point One of the man's friends intervened and he left the shop with three other people.

Police say the attacker was in his early twenties, 5ft 6in tall and slim. He had a shaved head and wore dark jeans, a yellow jumper and black shoes with a silver buckle. The people he was with wore black leather jackets and black jeans.
