Woman seriously hurt in road crash

A WOMAN motorist woman suffered multiple injuries in a road accident on the perimeter road at Bluewater at Greenhithe, near Dartford. It took firefighters 40 minutes to cut Jill Harris, 54, out of her Ford Sierra.

It is believed Mrs Harris, from Weardale Avenue, Dartford, had just dropped her son off at the Bluewater shopping centre just before yesterday's crash.

Mrs Harris was taken to Darent Valley Hospital where she underwent scans to see if she had suffered brain damage. She also suffered injuries to her head, face and legs.

The male driver of the other car, which was a Ford Fiesta, suffered shock, but was otherwise unharmed.
