CHARLTON manager Alan Pardew made Barnet midfielder Dean Sinclair his ninth summer signing after the two clubs agreed a £125,000 compensation package for the 22-year-old.

Charlton plc chairman Richard Murray and Barnet opposite number Tony Kleanthous completed the deal minutes before Mr Kleanthous flew off for a summer holiday.

Sinclair started his career with Norwich where he made one appearance before joining Barnet in 2004. In his three years at Underhill he made 133 appearances and scored 21 goals. The Bees are entitled to a settlement as the player is under the age of 24.

Sinclair joined up with Charlton for pre-season training and made his debut in the friendly against Welling on July 11.
