The faintest hopes Ebbsfleet had of making the Blue Square Premier play-offs were extinguished on Thursday night as they were held to a 1-1 draw at already-relegated Droylsden.

The Fleet went ahead eight minutes into the second half when Chukki Eribenne drilled in from a narrow angle.

George Purcell had a good chance to double the advantage but shot off-target before Chris Denham levelled 18 minutes from time after being played in by Danny Ellis.

Ebbsfleet continue their Wembley preparations on Saturday as Altrincham visit Stonebridge Road in the league.
