Fleet's unbeaten run ended on away day

Cambridge United 1 Ebbsfleet 0

After three games without defeat, Ebbsfleet slipped to a 1-0 reverse at Cambridge United in Blue Square Premier on Saturday.

The only goal of the game came on the stroke of half-time when Mark Convery's corner was only partially cleared to Wayne Hatswell who fired the ball back in and Scott Rendell was on hand at the far post to net.

The closest the Fleet came to a leveller against boss Liam Daish's former club was on 64 minutes when Michael Rickett's intended cross was tipped onto the crossbar by home keeper Danny Potter.
