GILLINGHAM are expected to complete their first signing of the summer with the arrival of Cheltenham defender Craig Armstrong.

The 32-year-old left-back is out of contract at Whaddon Road. He made 13 appearances for the Gills while on loan from Nottingham Forest in 1996.

Meanwhile, manager Ronnie Jepson is still waiting on decisions from three players whose contracts are expiring. Two of those - Danny Spiller and skipper Michael Flynn - have been in talks with Millwall.

Jepson admits there is little he can do as his out-of-contract players seek the best deals possible.
