GILLINGHAM have completed the signing of Luton Town goalkeeper Dean Brill on an emergency seven-day loan deal.

The 21-year-old will start at Yeovil on Saturday in place of the injured Kelvin Jack.

Jack has struggled for fitness all season and had to play against Port Vale on Tuesday despite taking a heavy knock during the FA Cup defeat at Bristol City.

Gillingham have the option of extending the loan agreement on a week by week basis.

Manager Ronnie Jepson is hoping to increase competition for the position on a more long-term basis when the January transfer window opens.

He said: "Hopefully I've got something lined up in January to bring in a new keeper permanently."
