Gillingham’s elimination from the FA Cup has led to them rearranging their trip to Notts County.

With both teams out of the competition they have now agreed to move January’s midweek fixture forward to the weekend designated for second round FA Cup fixtures.

The Gills were dumped out of the FA Cup at the hands of non-league Brackley on Monday night, while Notts County lost 3-2 to League 2 Hartlepool United.

Gillingham were due to travel to Meadow Lane on Tuesday, January 28. The game will now be played on Saturday, December 7, with a 3pm kick-off.

The Gills met Notts County back in October at Priestfield with goals from Danny Kedwell and Chris Whelpdale earning the hosts a 2-1 win.
