International defender set for a return

Brent Sancho has been out with a hamstring problem

Gillingham v Oldham Athletic

TRINIDAD & Tobago international Brent Sancho is set to return to the squad as Gillingham look to end their mini-slump against Oldham at Priestfield on Saturday.

Sancho has made just one substitute appearance since joining the club and has missed the last two matches after returning from international duty with a hamstring injury.

Meanwhile, full-back Tom Williams is expected to return to action in a couple of weeks, which will give manager Neale Cooper more defensive options.

A fit Williams would allow Cooper to push Danny Jackman into a more natural attacking role after filling the left-back role in the early part of the season.

Cooper said: "Danny knows he hasn't done that well in the last couple of games but he came here originally to be a wider, more forward player."
