KENT cricket enthusiasts can keep up to speed with the grass roots game from across the county at a newly-launched interactive website from the Kent County Board.

In announcing the site, the board's director of cricket development Jamie Clifford said: "This is the result of many hours of activity, planning and discussion with people who have an interest in the game at all levels.

"We believe we have achieved our main ambition, in that it covers all aspects of cricket in Kent, and would like it to become the first point of reference for any questions relating to the development of the game in Kent.

"It is truly interactive and anyone can become a member simply by registering, which then allows them to leave comments on many of the issues raised and postings others have made."

Information about Kent Young Cricketers, advice for individuals and teachers on playing cricket, advice for clubs on funding, pitch preparation and ECB Clubmark accreditation is also available.
