Ramsgate v Wealdstone

Ramsgate manager Jim Ward is likely to stick with the same team which beat Boreham Wood on Tuesday night for Saturday’s clash.

The Rams are back on home soil for the second time in five days as they welcome Wealdstone to the Southwood Stadium.

Ben Brown and Jay May got the goals in Tuesday night’s 2-0 win as the Rams climbed up to 17th in the Ryman League, Premier Division.

“It was another fine performance from the team and we deserved to win the game,” said Ward.

“The way we kept the ball was pleasing and I was pleased that we took our chances. We had far more chances than them and we were always in control.”

Wealdstone come to Ramsgate fresh from beating Harrow Borough 6-0.

“They can certainly play,” said Ward. “Wealdstone are the form team. We won’t be far away from the same starting eleven and we’ll assess the players’ fitness ahead of the game and we’ll try and get three points.”

Ward has made former Gillingham player Danny Walder a permanent member of the squad following his release by the League 2 side.

“He’s a good player at right-back and he’s solid,” said Ward.
