REFEREE Danny McDermid has been cleared by an FA disciplinary commission of using foul or abusive language towards Leeds United manager Dennis Wise during the club's 1-1 draw at Gillingham on September 29.

Wise alleged that the London official had sworn at him during the match.

The commission ruled the charge was not proven.

Wise, who was banished to the main stand after strikers Tresor Kandol and Jermaine Beckford were red-carded, received a two-match touchline ban, a suspended one-match ban, plus a £5,000 fine for the same offence.
