Bromley 2 Welling 0

JUST two days after leaving Welling , Omari Coleman netted a match-winning brace for his new club Bromley in Blue Square South on Saturday.

Coleman scored one in each half to reignite Bromley's play-off ambitions.

A scrappy first half was brightened only by Coleman's 16th-minute goal when he latched onto Welling skipper Richard Carpenter's stray back pass.

Coleman had an effort disallowed for offside two minutes later and strike partner Danny Hockton failed to convert a simple opportunity midway through the half.

Bromley made it 2-0 two minutes after the break when Coleman proved too strong for Max Hustwick and provided a fine left-foot finish.

Welling responded and finally put the home side under some concerted pressure. Bromley keeper Gareth Williams made two brilliant stops in the space of two minutes to deny Wings striker Sam Gargan.

Sonny Cobbs then saw his left-foot shot deflect inches wide, before Welling had a penalty appeal turned down after Orlando Smith had his shirt pulled.
