ADRIAN PENNOCK: the match involving his side is among the casualties

SEVERAL of tonight's soccer games involving Kent clubs have been called off because of the weather.

The game between Adrian Pennock's Welling and neighbours Thurrock has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

The game, which was subject to a 3pm pitch inspection, was to have been played at Dartford's ground as Park View Road is still without floodlights.

Meanwhile, Dartford's bid to close the gap at the top of Ryman League Division 1 South has also been put on hold due to the rain.

Their trip to Ashford has been postponed due to the condition of the pitch, along with Sittingbourne's home match against Horsham YMCA.

Margate's Ryman League Premier Division game at home to Leyton was called off after a 3.30pm pitch inspection.

The Kent Senior Cup quarter-final between Tonbridge and Ramsgate has also been hit.
