Wings aim to close the gap

Welling v Hayes & Yeading

Welling will look to close in on the Blue Square South play-off places again when they host Hayes & Yeading on Tuesday night.

The Wings trail Maidenhead, who occupy the final play-off place, by five points, but could cut that gap to two points with a win against fellow contenders Hayes.

Midfielder Jack Parkinson looks set to continue after impressing since returning from his loan spell at VCD while Loui Fazackerley is pushing for a recall after scoring the only goal in the London Senior Cup win at Croydon Athletic last Thursday.

Assistant boss Jimmy Dack stressed: "We need to put a run of results together.

"They are all big games coming up and this is one that we need to win for sure."

Meanwhile, Bromley will be aiming to put back to back wins together as they welcome strugglers Bognor to Hayes Lane.
