Wings record goes to Yeading

Welling United 0 - 1 Yeading

WELLING lost their unbeaten record to a determined Yeading side at Park View Road on Saturday.

The only goal of the game came after 74 minutes when the visitors caught the Wings on the break.

Errol Telemaque saw his left foot drive come back off the crossbar, but David Clarke was on hand to nod home the rebound.

Yeading had goalkeeper Delroy Preddie to thank for their clean sheet as he produced two fine saves from Wings striker Danny Kedwell.

However, the time wasting antics of the Yeading number one blotted his copybook.

It meant referee G. Hambling played five additional minutes but in truth Yeading looked more likely to score than a one-dimensional Wings side who quickly ran out of ideas.
