Man's death in Giddyhorn Lane, off London Road, Maidstone, is not being treated as suspicious Kent Police confirm

The death of a man which sparked a huge police response is not being treated as suspicious, it has been confirmed.

Dozens of police officers, paramedics and a forensics van raced to Giddyhorn Lane, off London Road, Maidstone at 8pm on Thursday after a man collapsed.

The victim, in his 60s, was unconcious and had entered cardiac arrest, attempts were made to resuscitate him but sadly were unsuccessful.

Police cordoned off the alleyway while investigations were carried out and other officers made house-to-house inquiries and searched a recreation ground off Poplar Grove to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Patrols were also seen late into the night in the Allington area.

On Friday Kent Police were unable to confirm whether or not the death was suspicious however it is now being considered non-suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
